In August 2008, a new law firm named ‘Volkov Koziakov & Partners’ was created as a result of the merger of two well-known Ukrainian law firms – ‘Volkov & Partners’ and ‘Sergiy Koziakov & Partners’.
The firm Sergiy Koziakov and Partners was founded in 1994 and is one of the leaders in the fields of judicial contest, investment, international trade law, and antimonopoly regulation.
Volkov & Partners Law Firm was founded in 2005 by Oleksiy Volkov, who has been the Partner of one of the largest Ukrainian law firms for many years and the Managing Partner for 7 years. In a short space of time Volkov Koziakov & Partners became one of the leaders among Ukrainian law firms in such practice fields as corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, antimonopoly regulation and real estate, aviation, oil and gas.
Both firms have earned an exceptional reputation during these years among both their Ukrainian and international clients as well as among their legal colleagues. This has been acknowledged several times by the media both in Ukraine and abroad, and also by rating and information systems including IFLR 1000, Chambers Global, Chambers Europe, Global Council 3000 and PLC Which Lawyer.
As a result of the development of both firms’ businesses, the volume and complexity of the legal services had consistently grown. To support the high standard of our legal services – which is the main principle of our lawyers’ work, we have embraced the necessity to broaden the sphere of our activity and legal practice. This was the main reason for joining of two groups of lawyers within a new company – Volkov Koziakov and Partners Law Firm.
